When do I have to sow this?

Tell it the day the crop has to be ready and how much of it you need. It works backwards through light, blackout and soak to the morning you have to start, and tells you how many trays and how much seed that is.

Pick the day it has to be ready and the schedule appears here.

What this page cannot do

It plans one crop against one date, from catalogue averages. That is genuinely useful and it is not what running a farm is.

It does not know what is already growing
Ask it twice and it will tell you to sow twice. Tenday nets a new order against every tray already on the rack, so the same tray is never promised to two people.
It plans one crop, not a week
A real week is twelve crops, three delivery dates and a market, all landing on the same rack. That is a plan, and it changes every time you sell something.
The germination is a number you typed
In the app it comes off the seed lot in your fridge, and the tray count moves on its own when a weak lot arrives.
Nothing here is remembered
Close the tab and it is gone. No account, no email, nothing stored — which is the point of this page, and the reason it cannot be the product.

The demo needs no signup at all. Six months of a working operation, nothing to undo.

Soak, blackout and light, crop by crop

The numbers the calculator above is using. Every one of them is a starting default, not a truth — seeding density and yield move with your supplier, your medium, your water and your light. Inside Tenday each of these becomes your number within a month of real cycles.

Seed to cut is blackout plus light, always — it is never a number anyone types in, which is why a crop whose blackout you change re-plans everything hanging off it. Soak happens before day zero, so it does not appear in that total.
